Reading and Writing Interventions
Students struggle with reading and writing for a variety of reasons. Some students have a learning disability such as dyslexia or dysgraphia. Some may have a hard time due to underlying issues with executive function skills or attention. Sarah will administer a thorough evaluation of your student’s current reading and writing abilities and create an individualized plan, focusing on your child’s specific area of need. Depending on the student, this plan may include training in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, or a combination. Sarah uses a variety of programs, including: Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Lindamood-Bell, and Project Read.
